Are the holidays a great time to sell?

Working in a Real Estate business and looking it from a potential home buyer point of view I started wondering when the perfect time to buy a house or condo in South Florida was? And in so many conversations have been had about this topic. Some are ready to list their home for sale now, and some won’t be ready for a while.

Some home sellers buy into the myth that “homes don’t sell” during the holidays, while others think that the business and chaos of the holiday season make it a bad time to sell. I did my research and I asked a few of my colleagues and this is what I found.

1. You can find better and serious buyers at this Holiday Season.

2. Less competition when it comes to realtors.

3. No rush.

4. Homebuyer availability.

5. If you want to sell, your house will look better. Nothing beats Christmas decoration.

Perhaps the most significant benefit to you selling your home during the holidays will come into play down the road when you go to buy your next home. Since you will have already sold yours, you will be a non-contingent buyer after the holidays when the rush of inventory hits the market. This will allow you to make better offers than other buyers who still have to sell their home and you’ll be able to aggressively go after your dream home.

There you go!!  If you were thinking to take that huge step to buy a new home, don't overthink and do it. We have a fantastic team who can help you through this process.
